Shipment essentials: for shippers
What’s the difference between nearshoring, reshoring, and offshoring?
While nearshoring means outsourcing manufacturing to a nearby country, offshoring means outsourcing manufacturing to another country, regardless of whether it’s a nearby country or far away. On the other hand, reshoring (or onshoring) means outsourcing manufacturing to a less expensive facility in the same country or simply the process of bringing back the production and manufacturing of goods back to the company's original country.
