Bill of Lading Supplement
What is the Bill of Lading Supplement (Complemento Carta Porte) and what is it for?
The Bill of Lading Supplement (Complemento Carta Porte) is an electronic format established by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) to carry out and cover the transfer of goods and/or merchandise within Mexican territory for cargo transport.
It allows the relevant authorities to easily identify the operators and the means of transportation.
The objective of the Bill of Lading Supplement (Complemento Carta Porte) is to reduce smuggling, in addition to having a better notion and traceability of the products entering and circulating throughout the country.
